Today all of my articles relate to AMD. So today HP announced eleven new systems that have AMD’s new Llano chips inside. There are the Pavilion g and dv 4, 6, and 7 series systems for the consumers and then there are plenty more ProBook solutions for business users. The ProBooks are coming on June 27th while the Pavilions are coming in July. The prices start at around 0 which is pretty cheap. Those Llano processors are AMD’s new Fusion A-Series. The new chips combine both AMD graphics and AMD processors into once chip. The chips have a lot of power and are designed for mobile computers. You can get up to a quad core chip with 4MB of cache, clocked at 1.9GHz or 2.6GHz with AMD Turbo Core. The best thing about the new A-Series is the fact that you can use both the integrated AMD graphics and the discrete AMD graphics together to make your system perform even better. So the Wii U has been announced last week and we didn’t know much about the internals at launch. Then we learned that it will have an IBM processor and now we finally know it will have AMD graphics. Now the graphics chip will be last generation’s 4000 series chip although it should perform better than the five year old chips that are in the Xbox 360 and PS3.
